Your analemma
Photograph the sun from one spot at the same clock time every day for a year, and it traces a lopsided figure eight. Where that eight sits in your sky, how it leans, and whether part of it sinks below your horizon all depend on where you are and what time you choose.

Dawn, noon and dusk
The same year at three times of day. Morning and evening figures lean opposite ways, because the sun is climbing on one side of noon and sinking on the other, and each sits lower in the sky than the noon one.
A camera only catches the solid dots. Dawn and Dusk use today's sunrise and sunset times, so today's dot sits right on the horizon. The hollow dots below it are days when the sun isn't up yet at that time, or has already gone down, so there's nothing there to photograph. To get the whole figure in a photo, move the clock later in the morning or earlier in the evening until Above the horizon says every day of the year.
How it is drawn
Each dot is the sun's position at your chosen time, five days apart through the year; the faint line runs through every day. Dots are coloured by season, split by calendar month (spring from 1 September down south) and named for your hemisphere: amber summer, rust autumn, teal winter, green spring. The ring marks today, and hollow dots are days when the sun is below your horizon at that time.
The three sweeping arcs are the sun's whole path across the sky on the solstices and an equinox, so you can see where your figure eight sits in the day.
Positions come from NOAA's solar equations and include atmospheric refraction, which lifts the sun 0.58° at the horizon and almost nothing overhead, so a dot counts as risen when you could actually see it. They agree with an independently written implementation to 0.012°. Each figure is drawn like a wide photo from your place: facing the way the note says, with the horizon along the bottom and height marked up the side. Every place and time uses the same scale, so you can compare how high the sun gets. For scale, 10° is about a fist held at arm's length. Switch Width to Like the mark and the figure is widened about 4× across its own length, the way the logo is drawn, so the loops are easier to see; heights and the 10° bar then only hold along its length.
Everything is calculated in your browser. Nothing about your location is sent anywhere; searching for a place name sends only the text you type, and only to me.
Colour by temperature and each dot takes the average temperature for that date and time of day, built from NASA POWER monthly normals: the month's average daily high and low, coldest at sunrise and warmest about two and a half hours after solar noon. They are long-run averages rather than weather, and they come from a grid roughly 55 km across, so a coastal spot shows a gentler day-to-night swing than its nearest weather station. Inland, they land within about a degree of Bureau of Meteorology normals.
Place search uses OpenStreetMap data via Nominatim. Temperatures from NASA POWER, which is in the public domain. Time zones from tz-lookup (CC0), whose boundaries also come from OpenStreetMap; the lookup runs in your browser, so your coordinates stay there.
